CardVault Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-26
CardVault helps users capture, organize, and sync business card information.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, Apple account identifier when Sign in with Apple is used, and subscription status.
- Business card information: names, companies, job titles, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, notes, tags, reminders, interaction records, and business card images added by the user.
- Technical information: authentication tokens, sync timestamps, sync identifiers, and basic server logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage the user's CardVault account.
- To sync business card data and images across the user's devices.
- To provide reminders, search, organization, and subscription-related features.
- To diagnose service issues, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
Third Parties
- Apple may process information related to Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases.
- Hosting providers may process encrypted transport traffic and server storage as needed to operate the CardVault service.
Data Retention and Deletion
Users can delete individual cards or delete their account in the app. Account deletion removes cloud account data, synced card records, reminders, interaction records, and uploaded card images from the CardVault service, subject to short-term backups and legal or security obligations.
Security
CardVault uses HTTPS for production API traffic and stores authentication tokens in the iOS Keychain. Users should keep their devices and Apple ID secure.
